Interview with Aaron Wroblewski

In its infinite wisdom, Instagram’s algorithm introduced me to Aaron Wroblewski and his explosive comic book Blood & Fire, a tale set in 16th Century Japan, where the central government’s grip is slipping, leaving a nation teetering on the edge of chaos and anarchy. Amidst the power-hungry warlords clawing for dominion, a solitary samurai emerges, defying the madness with the ferocity of a lone wolf. Peace, as it turns out, is a cocktail of blood and fire. And let me tell you, I was hooked. Aaron’s narrative genius paired with Ezequiel Rubio Lancho’s electrifying artwork had me hitting that follow button faster than you can say “samurai showdown.”

Fast forward, Aaron and Ezequiel have launched a killer Kickstarter campaign for the sequel, Ice & Bone. Naturally, I had to dig deeper. I sat down with Aaron, swapped some stories, and picked his brain. We delved into the guts of Blood & Fire and Ice & Bone, talked about his creative partnership with Ezequiel, his ties with Red 5 Comics, the art and hustle of crafting comics, and even got into his spine-chilling horror work, Enenra.
